One Idea:
While AI can provide valuable insights and automate tasks, it still requires human oversight. You are the one in control, making decisions and shaping the responses to ensure alignment with your goals and values.
One Quote:
“The real power of AI is not in its ability to think, but in its ability to augment human intelligence.” – Perplexity.ai
One Example:
This week, while working with AI to create a school plan I noticed the response didn’t match the school’s needs, even though I clearly provided detailed information in the prompt. It was an impressive plan but strategies to address attendance, students with English as a second language and disabilities was not mentioned anywhere in the review recommendations and was not applicable to a small school of nine students in regional Queensland. It was a timely reminder that AI is a tool. The human is in the driver’s seat. Crafting and critiquing responses with your professional knowledge and expertise is required more than ever.
One Question:
How do you ensure that your use of AI tools complements your decision-making rather than replacing it?
One Small Action:
Don’t assume artificial intelligence is correct. Critique its work and correct it to ensure its responses are accurate and applicable.
