This gem came to me during a Zoom meeting today. Yes, it even surprised me.

It reminds me of two scenarios.

Have you ever found yourself in a big, ugly, complex mess and just wished it would disappear?

Or, you are very comfortable in your current situation as you look to your future, and what is ahead is more of the same?

In the first, the status quo is in upheaval. The second beckons you to make a move.

In either scenario, we have an opportunity for growth before us. It is a chance to learn, challenge and stretch ourselves in leadership. There are complexities to navigate, knowledge to acquire and skills to build. Developing, strengthening or repairing relationships will be essential.

It takes courage to step up, make decisions and navigate a solution. But that is where the growth occurs.

Life lands lessons in our lap.
