Last night, I facilitated a workshop for the Regional Women’s Network. Reading the feedback, it is clear the women who attended found it valuable and enjoyed themselves, even though it was after a long day at work.
Great conversations, connections and insights flowed in the time we were together. Women shared their experiences, experiments and frustrations in their work and business. There were great coaching questions across the table, validation of shared journeys, and suggested strategies and resources to overcome challenges. They learnt as much from each other as from me.
The art for a leader is creating the space that allows the experiences and expertise in the group rise to lift the group. Everyone has something valuable to contribute – a unique perspective, an idea, a hack, something to consider from left field – that can trigger an AHA for someone else.
As a leader, how do you create opportunities for the individuals in the group to raise the collective?
