Chances are, you are clear on your goals and priorities for 2024.
(And this is just a little reminder about those New Year resolutions now that it is the end of January)
However, have you considered who you need in your circle to help make it happen?
Who will support you, challenge you and give you different perspectives on what you are undertaking?
The motivational speaker, Jim Rohn is attributed with saying, “You’re the average of the five people you spend the most time with.”
I apply this intentionally. Making deliberate decisions about my mentors that I want to learn from helps me make massive progress.
Seeking out communities and groups of people who are doing what I want gives me opportunities to learn from others and be inspired by their achievements, which lifts the standards I set for myself.
At times I have created and facilitated groups specifically because I know the benefit and reward of having a group of like minds will be tenfold.
Extending this concept further, I also consider who I want to read, listen to, and watch.
Think about the hours we sacrifice to consuming content and how this impacts our values, beliefs and attitudes. Making conscious decisions about who and what gets your attention and ultimately influences you is wise.
If you are going to spend 20 hours with someone influencing you through media, make it your advantage.
What relationships do you need to make the impact you want in 2024?
